I've been using my answering machine as a way of expressing myself to people I am connected with on multiple levels. From business calls to friends, I feel like I have a captive audience and use the space to transform the listener into another intimate world of sound, thoughts and feelings. This project has not been documented well over the years but below are a few sample messages. Some messages have stayed on my answering machine for a few months, others over a year.
